6 months ago I weighed 90kg and wore size 18 - 20 pants. I now fit size 14 and the cycling has been fantastic!

Thanks again for the support leading up to the Graperide and on the day. Dave and I really enjoyed the whole Bike Challenge experience, and liked it so much we are now considering doing the Around Brunner race as well!
"Thanks Al and Aline - great help for improvement of condition. I look forward to future training with you
"What a tremendous sense of achievement. I thoroughly recommend Al and Aline’s Bike Challenge; they are passionate about what they do and this shows.
"Thoroughly enjoyed a very well run course, Al & Aline and the team gave us time, confidence, advice and encouragement in learning how to bunch ride. I am now enjoying a new fitness level that I hadn’t had for a very long time!”
"The best thing about the bike challenge for me was the support and encouragement I got from Al and Aline and the great bunch riding skills I learnt made Around Brunner race so attainable.
"There are two really great things I've got out of the Bike Challenges I've done. First: the friends I've made, all from different walks of life, but with a common interest in that we are all new to cycling and love it so much! The second great thing is having been taught skills which enable me to ride in a bunch of any size and feel really really comfortable. This is huge. So thanks to Al, Aline and the rest of the instructors for giving me this invaluable skill
"I have enjoyed the whole course tremendously. You have created a wonderful, inclusive atmosphere full of fun and laughter (with a bit of sweat and friendly competition thrown in!). I can't say enough good things - really. I look forward to seeing you both on the next course
"Workshops
The workshop was great. It is really good to have the opportunity to change your own tube yourself under instruction from someone who knows the right way to do it - it's such a good way to learn. I have only seen a tube change demonstrated before and I was never confident I could do it. Now I am, although I have put a copy of the take home notes in my bike tool kit! Also, the instruction throughout the workshop was excellent. Lots of practical tips and you're not trying to sell us new gear in a bike shop so we know the info is unbiased.
I got more than I expected from this workshop. I have changed a few tyres so having had practical experience meant I knew the problems, but I picked up lots of tips and feel a lot more confident now.
"Just what I needed - also learned what I had been doing wrong! Made taking the wheels off much less complicated than I had thought. Was particularly interested to learn the best way to clean the chain - the toothbrush method had been very messy (which discouraged me from doing it as often as I should)! Very comfortable and informative atmosphere, everything explained expertly, clearly and patiently without being patronising! Excellent. Thank you!

I was really pleased I attended the workshop - well-presented and easy to understand. Hands on is a great way to learn!
"I definitely got what I expected to from this workshop! It was all very clear and a lot of useful little tips were shown and explained really well
The workshop definitely covered all my areas of concern and more. It was great to have input from 3 experienced cyclists to know that there are various ways of doing things. Good to be able to email questions beforehand so that the answers could be covered on the night. Nice informal atmosphere. Liked the checklist a lot.

Great workshop. You gave lots of handy tips that I didn't even think/know about
"The workshop covered everything needed to complete a tube and tyre change - the steps were well explained to complete the tasks and we gained some really valuable knowledge. The laminated notes at the end were a good for future reference. We would definitely recommend this course to others.
